Description:***IMPORTANT NOTE:
Prior to your appointment, you will receive an e-mail with a pickup location at
the Downtown Columbus Hilton. Please expect to be picked up at least 15
minutes ahead of your appointment time, and transported to the OSU
campus.
The overarching goal of our lab is to develop a comprehensive theory of
memory formation and retrieval that links our rich cognitive behavior to its
underlying neural mechanisms.
Psychologists have studied many simple behavioral tasks, such as free
recall,
for over 100 years. These tasks reveal the complex dynamics of human
memory processes as we track what participants remember correctly and,
often
more interestingly, what they don’t. Our lab combines a number of
approaches
to uncover the neural correlates and develop computational models of these
processes:
* We collect and perform multivariate analysis of neural data, including fMRI
and EEG.
* We run large-scale behavioral experiments.
* We develop computational models to link neural activity and behavior and
to guide our experimental work.

EEG StudyElectroencephalography (EEG) is a major research tool in the science of brain, mind, and behavior. We will use this non-invasive method to record brain activity while you are performing simple cognitive tasks. Participants must be at least 18 years of age, right- handed, and fluent in English. Participants will receive an e-mail with a pickup location at the Downtown Columbus Hilton. Expect to be picked up at least 15 minutes ahead of your appointment time. | 2 hours | book now |
